Based on the band's name, I expected an obnoxiously cutesy Of Montreal-like indie pop band, but iLiKETRAiNS is quite the opposite. This actually sounds a lot like Interpol, minus Paul Banks, only much, much darker. It took me a while to recover from my shock, but this song has slowly been growing on me. I don't listen to a lot of British music these days, but I did notice that this sounded remarkably like a Forward Russia! track. It's definitely one of those songs that's so devastating that it's just plain beautiful. If all of your favorite bands were influenced by Joy Division, you would like this song.
