It's always exciting to find out that one of your favorite bands has had a side project that you didn't know about for quite some time. The day I came across Ugly Casanova was one of the best and most disappointing days of my life (and what I life I lead!) The one album Isaac Brock put out under the moniker Ugly Casanova was actually probably worse than any of Modest Mouse's discs, with the exception of this song. I guess it sounds a bit like Modest Mouse, only much more under-produced and a whole lot weirder. MM has had some strange tracks, but none as unique instrumentally as "Parasites," backed by a soft horn section. In short, it's the lost track from Building Nothing Out of Something that was revamped by Brock before its mysterious release.
