It always ruins a song when you hear a cover version before the real thing. Fortunately, in the Morning Benders' case, The Submarines' version of "Waiting For A War" was so similar to the original that it was hardly even a problem. I've always really liked this band, as they sound like a combination of The Shins, Coconut Records, Miniature Tigers, and many other wrapped into one. But this was the song that really got me listening to them, as it's more catchy and upbeat than most of the other songs of theirs that I've heard. Don't be too surprised if you see a review for one of their albums in the near future, as I've decided to spend money on their music in any shape or form.
