I have some apologizing to do. I feel like I've done some serious Wolf Parade bashing on this site, and I now know how wrong it was. I guess I'd just listened to all the wrong songs by the Canadian collective, because after hearing Apologies a few hundred (or maybe just five) times I've discovered how incredible they really are. And just when you think the album can't get any better, "Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts" fades out and you're greeted with the spine-chilling intro to what has become quite honestly one of the most powerful songs I've ever listened to. Seriously, this song could be applied to just about any movie at any moment and it would make it totally worth seeing. It's just so beautiful musically and lyrically that it's surprising nobody's closed out a movie Fight Club style with it.
