Yo La Tengo - "Sugarcube"I've been listening to all kinds of YLT these days, but none of the songs seem to be as good as this track from their '97 release I Can Hear The Heart Beating as One. This was the first song I'd ever heard by the band and I always expected them to sound like this. Instead, I feel like the majority of their other music is just really bland and repetitive, no matter what decade it's from. I'm not saying that I don't like the band, but I just don't see how people can listen to the same songs album after album and not be upset about the lack of songs like "Sugarcube." Maybe it's just a '90s thing that I wouldn't understand, but I don't seem to have problems with bands like Built to Spill and Modest Mouse.
