Blonde Redhead - "23"I don't know how it took me this long to start listening to this band. I really got into indie rock around five years ago with The Comas, and this was always one of the bands that websites told me to check out, and for some reason I ignored all those recommendations. Well, I now know that they're nothing like the Comas, but my musical horizons have expanded greatly. I've been listening to a lot of shoegaze lately, and even though this isn't quite My Bloody Valentine, this song has a very mellow, darkly melodic vibe to it. From all the years of ignoring them, I'd always assumed they were some sort of boring pop band, but I was obviously quite wrong. Very inspirational.
