Rogue Wave - "Solitary Gun"

Next on my list of bands to apologize to is Rogue Wave. It seemed to be common knowledge that the band's newest release was a heaping pile of synth-pop garbage, so I didn't even bother with it. Well, apparently it's not all synth-pop. "Solitary Gun" seems to fit right in line with 2007's "Lake Michigan," perhaps a bit peppier and more upbeat, but similar nonetheless. I can see why longtime fans would have a problem with this, but I don't know how anyone could pass up such a terrific song. It sounds to me like the first song of the year that indie and mainstream music lovers alike can get excited about, which perhaps is why indie lovers have such a hard time with it...
