I can't admit that I was a fan of Modest Mouse before they "sold out" with Good News, but I was about twelve years old when it came out so I hope you can cut me a break. Anyway, I've recently been listening to a lot of Modest Mouse, old and new, and although I must say their newer music is much better, songs like "Never Ending Math Equation" will always have a special place in my heart as well as most of my playlists. Isaac Brock really knows how to write songs and this is especially evident in the band's older songs, such as this one. So far the new album sounds pretty good, but there's always a part of me that wishes Brock would go back to their old ways and focus more on the song writing and less on the post-production.
