Pedro The Lion - "Penetration"

I know that I just reviewed the album a week or so ago, but I just can't stop listening to some of these songs. "Penetration" is probably my favorite song on the album, and at this point it still gets better with every listen. This is one of the earlier tracks in the album, too, so it isn't painfully depressing. In fact, this song also probably has the best lyrics on the album. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that this song will be the highlight of David Bazan's career. After Control, all of Pedro's stuff was pretty bland, and his solo career isn't even in the same ballpark as this. I feel like listening to more of his music will only tarnish the almost perfect image I have of him. I always want to think of this song when I heard the name David Bazan, even if it makes me think of him in the pinnacle of his depression.
