I was devastated when I had first found out that Death From Above 1979 had broken up. I was even more devastated when I found out that Jessie Keeler, one half of the band, had gone on to form an awful electronic instrumental band while Sebastien was off trying to make a solo career happen. I had listened to a bit of Grainger's solo stuff and just about gave up on him as well until I heard that he had signed with Saddle Creek and actually released a record. Overall, it wasn't fantastic, but you can still catch glimpses of Grainger's DFA days in songs like this. It may be a lot slower and there is in fact a guitar in it, but when he begins yelling, you may forget that this isn't infact a new DFA track. I'd say there's still hope for something good to come out of the split.
