Metric - "Help I'm Alive"I don't want to call this mainstream, but I hear this song everywhere nowadays. I'll admit right now that of all places, I fell in love with it as I was cutting through an Aeropostale at the local mall and since then I've heard it on the radio a few times and in other stores such as American Eagle. I was sort of into the band before this song came out, but hearing it blasting in Aeropostale was for some reason a completely different experience for me. I've had this happen with movies or even TV shows where I'll realize the greatness of a certain song, but I've never really paid too much attention to music while I shop. Anyways, this is easily the band's best song to date and it'll rank highly among my favorite songs of '09. Even though it's on the radio.
