British Sea Power - "No Man Is An Archipelago"

What is this! I don't know a whole lot about British Sea Power, aside from the fact that they make some pretty great indie/post rock music. It took me by surprise last year when they released a new soundtrack to an old movie by the name of The Man of Aran, mostly made up of long instrumental pieces led by guitars, violins, and a beautiful orchestra to back it up. I never expected a band like this--or really any other band on my iPod--to accomplish such a feat so flawlessly, but this is truly one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. There are plans for a new album this year, but I'm not sure that they'll be able to top the success of last year's curve ball.
