I think it was one of the best days of every hipster's life when they heard that Spike Jonze was making Where The Wild Things Are in to a movie, and that Karen O was doing the soundtrack. Now I don't necessarily consider myself a hipster, but I'll admit that I was ecstatic. Not to say that the movie needed a lift, but the wild yelpping of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's singer seemed to fit perfectly into just about every scene, only adding to brilliance of the film. I'm sure listening to the whole soundtrack can be a little tedious, but I'm pleased with this song by itself. When I heard the first two singles from It's Blitz! I knew that it would be a letdown, but with the release of this soundtrack, 2009 wasn't a complete failure for Karen O.
