Fucked Up - "Neat Parts"Probably due to their aggressive name, I made sure to stay clear of Fucked Up throughout the majority of 2009. But only a month into this year, the Toronto hard-rockers have already released a collection of about twenty songs that I assume didn't make the cut for their well-received debut. I guess I was right about the aggressiveness, but this is one of the few instances where I enjoy it. I'm rather confident that it has something to do with the way they channel Les Savy Fav's energy (and stage presence...) that made me so attracted to this particular song, which is short but oh so sweet. Honestly, I think these guys are a little too talented to be considered "hardcore," but I guess I'll take "punk rock," as it suits their sound whether I like it or not.
