Noah and the Whale - "Blue Skies"

You know the kind of song that you can just tell from the opening chords is going to be one of the most beautiful songs you ever hear? It very rarely happens to me, but this is one case I'll never forget. As good as The First Days of Spring was, "Blue Skies" really stood out to me as the band's greatest song to date in all of it's nostalgic beauty. I'm not very big on music videos, but when I saw the video for this, I was shocked at how perfectly it fit in with my interpretation of the song. Also, the way the it marked a turning point in the band's excruciatingly depressing sophomore album was much appreciated. Even though the song sounds as sad as the rest of the album, it shows that Charlie Fink hasn't given up on love just yet.
