I thought I was done with American-twee-pop-Death Cab-sound-a-like bands, but SSLYBY has proved me wrong yet again. It really is highly obnoxious when a band can be considered "cute" like this, but this song is just so damn catchy. Despite its morbid lyrics, the song is rather pleasant and is the perfect ending to (and the perfect dampener on) any playlist. The band itself, I've recently discovered, is nothing to harp about, as they sound a lot like Ra Ra Riot without, well, any creativity. But this is one of the rare instances where a lack of creativity still catches my attention and sticks in my head for days. Seriously though, as proud as I am of these guys, don't expect to see anything else by them on my page in the near future.
