Shark? - "Let's Roll"
So my first impression of this band was "wow, look at these chumps making sucky quality lo-fi songs and trying to be ironic by wearing overalls on stage. We could use another band like this." Well, I now realize that this is basically what real lo-fi is, and that their singer just doesn't give a shit what he wears. "Let's Roll" was the song that helped me to accept the NYC collective as being an interesting and individualistic group, as it not only showed me their fierce side, but it also convinced me to look up a little bit about their background. I'm still not sure how I feel about the new EP, but this is definitely a memorable track, despite the excessive amount of bearded-fat-man-fronted bands making their way around New York these days.
