Not only have I become obsessed with Canadian bands as of lately, but a pretty good percentage of them have been in some way linked to Wolf Parade. Frog Eyes, for example, was the band that led to the formation of Swan Lake, which consists of Carey Mercer of Frog Eyes, Dan Bejar of The New Pornographers and Destroyer, and, you guessed it, Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade. Of all of these projects, Frog Eyes is probably the least exciting, but this 7 minute thrill ride actually ranks up there with Krug's and Bejar's bands. It may take some time to get used to Mercer's singing, but if you've adjusted to Wolf Parade, you should be fine.
