Shoegaze, nugaze, bluegaze, whatever you want to call it, I've been listening to a lot of it in the past few daze. Since its reemergence in recent years, some bands have resorted to using it as an inspiration rather than a main focus, such as the Atlanta trio All the Saints. Their style is more of a heavy alternative-punk thing which, mixed with shoegaze, is absolutely incredible. It sort of feels like this song was written as a garage rock anthem, but slowed down with drawn out, echoing guitar riffs that I can see My Bloody Valentine nodding along to. It didn't surprise me to see that they've been touring with A Place to Bury Strangers lately, as they're both most likely responsible for the hearing loss of a few dozen people.
