As far as my taste in music goes, I try to keep things interesting. Sometimes it just isn't enough for me when a band brags a weird name like Cymbals Eat Guitars, but puts out mediocre music; I actually prefer the music itself to be bizarre in one way or another. I was excited when I came across Ramona Falls (notice the normalcy of the name) because this is my ideal "weird" sound: freak folk with very experimental intentions and a quirkiness to it that will please most fans of indie rock. After hearing "I Say Fever," I wasn't surprised to read that this was a Brent Knopf project, as the Menomena similarities are very clear (perhaps it's a bit darker, but I'm not complaining). I don't listen to a whole lot of Menomena, but this sure beats anything I've heard by them. And please don't mark my words, because I've become quite infamous for my word-eating habits.
